Well if they would export more Stilton cheese, I could certainly help their economy. The price should be down to where I could afford it now.

oh but people are living longer and rock climbing into their 90's
and with new hip replacements can leap tall buildings in a single bound.
and with new erectile dysfunction implants can AAAAAAA horse hocky!

we need to think, in the M.I.T. report it did not account for global or regional war
and the "brotherhood" bunch Iran and a drug cartel invasion of some south america governments
and disease and famine Japan is having a hard time the Nikkei has been getting it's butt kicked.
Factor any of these whack a mole scenarios and we are out of bullets monetarily to deal with
them 5 nations in the E.U. are in financial upheaval and the verge of total default.
these are key dominoes dependent on their order of fall as to the ripple effect and to what side
of the globe will be most impacted.
now add in North Korea and Iran's race to the goal post and you tell me if we got 18 more years.

As I have stated I do not think dec 2012 is it but if it is anything like any other financial failure
throughout history they were partying hardy until it crashed egypt greece rome france spain england
and the U.S. no one knew a few had notions but everyone laughed at them.

an accidental find of new technology could put us in last place overnight we have been strong
and vital because of men like tesla edison browning and many many more hundreds of patents
each when was the last time you heard of one man having earth changing patents by the hundreds?

we now praise sports figures and hookers on t.v. drugged and drunk actors miscreants all
we are hanging on to a log but it's in the toilet and we are circling the drain.
Choose to be prepared and ready personal disasters happen regional downturns the whole world
maybe fine but if you hit a bad streak so sad too forkin bad if your not ready for it.
companies are not allowing people to retire better to wrangle them out for any infraction
because it is cheaper than allowing them to stay on the tit.
if that happens to your children or you what is your plan A and then plan B and raising grandchildren.

Do not believe any of it, they told the passengers on the titanic it would not sink then they locked out
steerage from gaining access to life boats and still over 1,000 died.
18 years yea ok and the check is in the mail.

This like most so called science these days is mostly bunk slime. The problem is that science has found that there is BIG money in doomsday predictions. If they tell us that the world is going to over heat and burn us all up they then get money from the government to do an in depth study. The dumb guy that shows irrefutable proof that all is well and should continue so for the foreseeable future gets NOTHING and if he doesn’t have tenure he is probably NEVER going to get it.

You DO notice that all this crud always comes out of some university. They are all about money and almost totally NOT about educating our kids anymore. Most so called scientists in academic surroundings are little more than prostitutes and ready to say what ever you want to hear if you will pay them for it.

The fact of the matter is that there are too many people in places that have no possible way to feed that number of people. In too many of these areas they are breeding like rabbits. China is the one commendable exception. No matter, mathematics will quickly show that at the present growth of population in these places will overwhelm the ability of other areas to feed them. A couple of bad weather years is all it will take to cause a billion deaths.

The economic facts are that these places are all to often totally without means to pay for the food they need. For a long time the US has fed the multitudes mostly paid in pittances. Let’s be real; the price of oil has boomed and skyrocketed while the basic cost of food has sat mostly stable. My family was in farming and ranching for decades and the amount that they could sell their crops and animals for didn’t even come close to keeping up with inflation. FOOD is so cheep that it is nearly free now days. Most things that you buy in the store, the packaging cost more than the contents. Dollar menus are everywhere and you can eat for what is basically pocket change.

This like most things is NOT a normal or permanent situation. It isn’t that mankind has done anything wrong either. This world has been in a rather odd period of unusually mild weather for several hundred years. That WILL change and would do so if there wasn’t a single human around. Greenland was a fairly warm place at one time not too long ago. People lived there and there was plenty of grazing for their animals. I guess all those people and animals farted too much and made the weather change because after a hundred or so years it cooled of and they had to leave. We are not looking at global warming maybe. What we may be seeing is a return to a more historically normal pattern of weather fluctuations.

Al Gore quoted one of those scientists not long ago with the dire prediction that in 5 years at the longest, there would be no ice over the North Pole in the summers. The problem with that prediction that he was quoting is that it was TEN years old at the time he was saying it! Dumbbutt!

ANYWAY, The problem we are facing is that IF the weather patterns change we may not be able to give away food like we do now. It would have to get almost world ending before we couldn’t feed ourselves but the billions that live elsewhere would be in trouble real fast. The US basically feeds a couple billion people right now. Our population is only 350 million citizens. (Who knows how many illegal aliens) We literally have food running out our ears.

Unfortunately those other folks are not likely to just sit down and starve to death quietly. The Middle East, India and China are all populated WAY far and beyond their ability to actually feed their people and most of Russia and Europe isn’t far behind. Too many mouths and not enough arable land means WAR in times of famine! It always has and always will.

What is most likely to happen, IMHO, is that something will happen that will make our crop yield drop over a period of several years. This will cause a major world crisis where the US will be made to look selfish because we won’t just give OUR life’s bread away FREE like we mostly always have. Led by the Islamic crud out there, we will find ourselves in a REAL war of terrorist attacks that will be mostly supported by the usual suspects. No doubt France and Russia will lead the way condemning us in the UN. The price of oil will skyrocket while at the same time the world will insist that we sell our crops at a loss.

At that point the US will make one of two choices. We will either give in and basically become a slave state existing only to feed the starving masses. Our way of life will die because while we feed the ever growing masses our economy and ability to do so will be deteriorating. Something that you just HAVE to understand is that what we are REALLY exporting is our top soil. The only reason things have lasted this long is through the use of chemical fertilizers many of which are dependent on oil. Slowly our soil will degrade and as it does and our crop yields falter they will come to take from us what is left. They will justify this by saying that we are just too greedy and are holding the world hostage to our greed.

OR…and I’m afraid less likely, we nut up, tell them all to go to hell and demand a fair price for our now more limited production. This will also lead to war but one we are ready for and capable of surviving and winning. Personally I think we should, right NOW, REQUIRE any country that we are feeding to enact population controls that are effective and mandatory. We have bailed several of those countries out to the point where there is almost a hundred times the population that that area can ever support. Places like Bangladesh and several African countries had a balanced ecology that included a die off anytime the population became too great. We “saved” them they each then had a dozen kids and two generations later they are almost to the point where there are so many people that the land is covered up with starving people rather then in production.

In the end REAL wealth is about FOOD and WATER. If you don't have that you will DIE. Most Americans don’t have a clue about the true unimaginable wealth we have in our rich and fertile soils. Even in a time of drought, think of the massive wealth we have in the Great Lakes alone. Look out at your lawn and understand that that in itself represents a possibility that many millions of people don’t, never have had and never will have. Most people could grow almost enough in their suburban yards to feed their family a sustenance diet. Sand and rocks rock hard sun cracked soil and no water is all many have. To them our lush lawns are an ostentatious and decadent display of wealth.

When billions begin to starve it will be that insult that they will fine unacceptable. Misery doesn’t just love company, misery DEMANDS it. They will if nothing else try and destroy our ability to feed them, ourselves or anyone else. If we have a nuclear war it won’t be the bombed cities that will mean our end. It will be the radioactive pollution on our fields that will mean the end. They may well hit them intentionally.

I don’t think we will make it too 2030 unless we are very lucky and the climate returns to the odd peacefulness of the last 300 years. History says that it changes, it does it pretty quickly and it isn’t at all like the scientists talk about. Sudden change is common through out history!
